Its another Christmas time. People travel from afar to meet their dear
and love ones. Some prefer to spend their times with their friends – party all
night. Their are some rare people who wants to spend alone. As the festive
season comes closer, people begin to make plans; plans on how to spend their
time during this Holy day. Some go for shopping (99 %), buying goodies, clothes,
Christmas ornaments, cakes, candles, etc.
As the Christmas is nigh, we clean our homes, some paint it with new
bright colours, decorate our Christmas trees, parents secretly packing gifts to
put it under the Christmas tree for
their little children, market places are crowded, everywhere everyone is busy.
When we ponder on all this things, we realize that we are more concern
on materials rather than the true meaning of Christmas. We give more importance
in getting new things, feasting, partying, outing on this day. This day marks
the birth of our Saviour. But we seem to forget that.
The first word/words we hear or talk about when we mention “CHRISTMAS”
is Party or Chicken Roast or Champagne or latest designer dresses or mid-night
gathering. I doubt, there might not be even 20% of the Christian population in the world, who truly understands
Christmas. This is our Saviour’s Day – the day our Lord Jesus accept His
Father’s command to save the World, by being born on the most humblest abode,
taking the form of a sinner.
Tonight, an empty room was being searched for the Saviour to be born
some 2000 years back in Bethlehem. No one was ready to give him a room.
Tonight, this very moment, Our Saviour is looking for a place again, for the second time or may
be for the last time, for an abode – not in Bethlehem but in our heart . Are we ready to give Him the room that was denied years back? Are we ready to
welcome the Great King in our humble Heart ? Tonight ?
Blessed are those who spend tonight, not indulging in worldly
celebration, but with Christ Himself. Celebrating the birthday with the
birthday boy, in their quiet room, in their heart.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS !
A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS TO EVERYONE !!
( I dedicate this to my dear lovely friend who is in her sick
bed.......Jesus is beside you....coming to celebrate His birthday with you, in
